Once it was only the pilots who trained inside the simulator to learn flying a plane.Now in India,Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and alumni of National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad and Chandigarh Art College has joined to make simulators for nurse so that they can practice post surgery cardiac care.
The project involves creating a mannequin that will feel and react like a human being so that nurses can reduce human error while treating a real patient.
The mannequin will be made from silicon rubber.Zuby Johal said, “When Dr Shetty was here for our convocation he saw the medical prosthetics that we were creating, like limbs for the disabled. one of the designersWhen we were told about the hyper-realistic mannequins, we were excited. We wanted the skin to be almost real so that the nurses could get the feel of a real-life situation,”. A team of four experts — from NID and Chandigarh Art College — is creating the simulator.
